The former governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has come out to debunk the rumours that he has parted ways with the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Fayemi made this known in a short statement posted to his X (formerly Twitter) handle. The statement is titled “Nothing Has Changed.”
According to the statement, he assured the public that his status as a founding member of the APC has not changed. Fayemi also called on the party to move towards greater inclusion and internal democracy.
In his words, “While I have been at the vanguard of demand for greater internal democracy and inclusion in the ruling party, I believe it is still not late for our party to change course and move towards greater inclusion and internal democracy.”
